Pesticide safety is simple habits done every time.

Before spraying

Read the label. Check wind (low), weather (no rain forecast) and nozzle condition. Calibrate the sprayer so you know the volume per hectare.

Protective equipment

Chemical-resistant gloves, boots, long sleeves and trousers, a face shield or goggles and a respirator for concentrates. Wash gear after use, separately from family clothes.

Mixing and application

Mix in a ventilated place, measure accurately, do not eat, drink or smoke, and keep children and animals away. Spray in cool hours.

After

Rinse equipment away from water sources, triple-rinse containers and dispose properly, and wash thoroughly. Respect the re-entry interval and the pre-harvest interval on the label. Store chemicals locked, in original containers.
