Jute bags in bulk are not shipped loose. They are pressed into bales.
Why bales
- Space: a pressed bale takes a fraction of the volume of loose bags, so a container holds more.
- Protection: strapped bales keep the bags clean and flat.
- Counting: the label gives the bag count and weight, so receiving is quick.
How a container is loaded
Bales are lifted by forklift and set in tight rows, with the heaviest at the bottom and the straps facing up. Gaps are filled so the load cannot shift.
What a buyer should ask for
- Bags per bale and bales per container.
- Weight per bale and the way it is checked.
- Origin marked on the label.
- Photos of the load and the documents needed at the port.
